Sanctity of Human Life Month
On January 21, 2018, we will celebrate Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SoHLS). SoHLS is a day for Americans to focus on the value of each and every human life. It is celebrated every year on the Sunday closest to the anniversary of the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decisions Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, which legalized abortion in every state for any reason through all nine months of pregnancy.
President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation creating the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day in January 1984, and it included these words:
“We have been given the precious gift of human life, made more precious still by our births in or pilgrimages to a land of freedom. It is fitting, then, on the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade that struck down State anti-abortion laws, that we reflect anew on these blessings, and on our corresponding responsibility to guard with care the lives and freedoms of even the weakest of our fellow human beings.”
We invite you on Sunday, January 21, to remember the loss of more than 57 million unborn children since 1973 and help the Pregnancy Care Center celebrate the precious gift of life for all.
If you would like a representative from the Pregnancy Care Center to speak to your church at any time during Sanctity of Human Life Month, please let us know! We would love to have the opportunity to share a grace-filled message about the value of life with your group. Call us at 269-684-6200 or fill out the contact form below to schedule someone.
Sanctity of Life Month
We have also prepared a prayer guide that you can use during this month. Print off this prayer guide for use with your church, small group, family, or in your own individual prayer time. This prayer guide will help you focus on pro-life issues nationally and locally, as well as give you ideas on how you can specifically pray for our ministry.
Thank you for praying for us this month!

All month long!
Sanctity of Human Life Month is a great time to get involved in a Baby Bottle Campaign! Challenge your family, group, or congregation to fill a baby bottle with change, cash, or checks that will be donated to the Pregnancy Care Center. Stop by the PCC at the beginning of the month to pick up bottles, fill those bottles up with change, cash, or checks, and return the bottles at the end of the month. This is a fun and easy way to help your family, group, or church become involved in pro-life ministry. Every time you choose to put money into your bottle, you are choosing to be a part of something greater — to make a difference for life in our community!
NOTE: The Baby Bottle Campaign can be scheduled at any time during the year, but Sanctity of Human Life Month is a great time to schedule it — especially if you have never participated in one before.
